COMO CANTA LOS RÍOS DE LA LUNA AND PASAJES DE MEMORIAS

Como Canta los Rios de la Luna and Pasajes de Memorias is about reconnecting to where I come from, even with distance I am asking how I can still carry something that lies deep within my roots. Maybe things are known or maybe lots of things are unknown to me. I am searching to connect yet realizing that I belong within the places that the winds blow my soul. Through the processing of materials and transformation I am seeking to weave, braid, and knot together my history...of where I was, where I am and where I am going.

This body of work is an exploration of what I carry, physically, mentally and spiritually. This piece was strongly inspired by the quote: “Peru, Land of the Inca, the Sun Worshippers, Land of Gold (the “Sweat of the Sun”), Land of Silver (the “Tears of the Moon”)—-https://www.ganoksin.com/article/peruvian-jewelry-art-metalwork/
