๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ ๐รก๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ ๐ข๐ฐ๐น๐น๐ผ, narrates the story of the Sun God, Intiโs descendants Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo journey to establish a new empire. Risen from Lake Titicaca, they traveled through the valleys of Peru with a golden sword. Once they reached the fertile soil of Cusco, the sword established a new empire and a new place to call Home.
In this body of work I recontextualize this myth through the duality of my identity. I am using symbols that emcompases aspects of migrating allegories to highlight different passages. Through the journeys taken, the realization of belonging as a state of mind beyond one physical place awakens the soul.
